Barcelona’s Logistics Festival, the popular Buti Buti event, once again brought together more than 6,000 people on 15 May at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona. In its 14th edition, the event organised by Diario del Puerto broke its record for participating companies, reaching a total of 225 businesses — including, of course, the enthusiastic and numerous representation from Startrans.

Under the excuse of celebrating the resilience of the logistics sector through a large-scale traditional “butifarrada”, the organisers prepared a day full of entertainment, music, and activities, featuring performances by Babalú Swing Band, a spectacular travelling batucada by IFS, and dance sessions with DJ Marvin and DJ Mon. There were also prize draws sponsored by the participating companies, with prizes ranging from a Mediterranean cruise to wines, concert tickets, Smartbox experiences, and even tyres.
A Celebration and Networking Opportunity
Sara Gil, Head of Customs Affairs, AEO and Quality at Startrans, highlighted that once again “the organisation was excellent, and the venue is ideal: spacious, covered, and well connected to public transport.” According to her, the best part of taking part in Buti Buti is “the opportunity to meet in person the people we work closely with every day. It’s great to finally put faces to the suppliers we speak with constantly. In addition, it’s a fantastic opportunity to build business relationships and network.”

At Startrans, we are delighted to see the excellent health and continued growth of this initiative, and we congratulate Diario del Puerto and the Organising Committee for surpassing themselves year after year. We are already looking forward to the next edition.
